Brian J. Di Stefano - Attorney Profilele, New Jersey. Our office is an Ocean County based law firm providing general legal services to the private and public sector.
Brian J. Di Stefano has been active in the New Jersey legal community for over twelve years. After graduating from The New England Law School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in the Spring of 2003 he eagerly returned to New Jersey to practice law. Mr. Di Stefano was born and raised here in the State of New Jersey and still has family roots throughout the State. After spending most of his childhood in the Union County area his family relocated to Ocean County where he attended high school in Toms River.
Mr. Di Stefano became interested in pursuing a legal career after he began his undergraduate studies as a history major at The College of New Jersey. He soon changed his major to Law and Justice and completed his studies in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in business marketing. While attending college he concentrated his studies on pre-law classes in the Law and Justice program, which prepared him for his future in law school.
Mr. Di Stefano completed an internship with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in Trenton, New Jersey after his second year. He was assigned to the Insurance Fraud Division and worked hand in hand with investigators and the deputy attorney generals within the unit on numerous insurance fraud cases.
Following his completion of the internship program with the Attorney General Mr. Di Stefano was accepted into an internship program with the Superior Court of New Jersey in Mercer County. While working with the Superior Court he was assigned to the Bail unit where he interacted with criminal defendants on bail intakes and assisted Superior Court Justices conducting bail hearings. He was later hired full time as a Court Investigator, with Mercer County Criminal Case Management.
These experiences encouraged Mr. Di Stefano to pursue a law degree at The New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. While attending law school he excelled in his studies being named to the Dean’s List numerous times. He was also an active member of the legal community in the greater Boston area.
Mr. Di Stefano was first employed by the Cambridge Consumers’ Council during his second year of law school as a mediator for consumer claims. The Cambridge Consumers’ Council is a non-profit subsidiary organization of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, which primarily dealt with Consumer Affairs for residents and businesses located in and around the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts. While employed with the Council he arbitrated and disposed of numerous consumer complaints against large corporations and small businesses alike.
This employment allowed him to gain experience with numerous business and consumer related legal issues, which provided the necessary skills to pursue a clerkship with the Law Firm of Wynn & Wynn, P.C. While employed with the firm he was assigned to the business litigation department where he worked closely with Managing Partners and Associates on cases involving contract disputes, mergers, and collections. He was later assigned to the personal injury department within the same firm where he worked on cases involving automobile accidents, slip and fall accidents, and wrongful death actions.
Upon graduating law school in 2003, Mr. Di Stefano did forgo his employment opportunities in Massachusetts to sit for the New Jersey State Bar Exam.
