Juvenile Offenses
The Superior Court of New Jersey/Family Part has jurisdiction to hear all juvenile delinquency matters unless the Defendant is properly waived to the adult system. Although there are distinct differences between the adult and juvenile system, juvenile matters should not be taken lightly as it may impact you and your child in many ways. Due to the fact that all Juvenile Offenders are under the age of eighteen, the State requires that they be represented by legal counsel. It is strongly recommended that you seek the advice of legal counsel prior to your initial appearance in Court to be properly prepared to address the issues with your child's case.
